Bye, Cher! It’s the Dionne show now
A new Clueless project has emerged—not a film, but rather a reimagined TV show that will be centered on Dionne, Cher’s best friend (played by Stacey Dash in the original 1995 film). The description for the show, which will be written by Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey (Will & Grace), is a veritable tornado of trends. Per Deadline, nü Clueless is being described as “Mean Girls meets Riverdale meets a Lizzo music video.” It’s also being described as a “baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sunglasses-wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled” look at high school. The plot explores what happens when “high school queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong number two, Dionne, steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans.” So no Cher! Bye, Cher! It’s the Dionne show now.
